Trucking Trailer Wraps Tell the Story of Dayton
Dayton is taking tourism to the next level with trucking.
The Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau is collaborating with Martin Transportation Systems to help spread the word around the country to come visit Dayton. Martin Transportations Systems (MTS), a family-owned and operated transportation company based in Byron Center, MI, is putting several of its trailers in wraps advertising the city of Dayton.
MTS and Dayton CVB recently unveiled a third trailer wrap that will travel across the country. The trailer highlights Dayton artwork on one side and the National Museum of the U.S. Airforce on the other. The back of the trailer features the Dayton skyline and the Great Miami River. Both sides of the trailer say “Visit Dayton, OH!”
As part of the partnership, the truck will travel 100,000 miles each year to encourage people to visit the Gem City. Kevin Burch, Vice President for Sales & Governmental Affairs for MTS and Co-Chair for Trucking Moves America Forward (TMAF), said that recent surveys have shown that “each trailer generates 16 million impressions each year. We now have three of these, so that’s 48 million impressions that people will see to come visit Dayton, Ohio.”
“Our goal is to build awareness of Dayton and to drive, if you’ll pardon the pun, more visitors to greater Dayton,” said Jacquelyn Powell, president and CEO of the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau.
